so I had a paratilapia shipped to my local lfs from a great distributer. I put it in a quarantine tank ( 25 gallon ) right away because well it is a new fish and I suspected something was wrong with it right off the bat because of its behavior and it had a growth on its mouth ( looked like some kind of fungus) . Long story short it came down with ich two days later. I have turned up the heat to 84 and treated the tank with aquarium salt and paraguard. I am on day 4 of treatment now and the fish now has cloudy eyes. It is constantly hiding and will not eat . I have been changing the water daily using prime ( 10 gallons ) and dosing daily . I do not want to lose this little guy ( hes at the 4 inch mark ) . is there something that I'm missing ? Water readings 7.8 ph 0 ammonia 0 and 5 . His mouth is getting better and the ich seems not to be as bad as it was two days ago. However he is not swimming around like he should be . HE sits at the bottom and sulks. I have seen him swimming at night in complete darkness which is normal for this type of fish. I am however quite concerned with the cloudy eyes ( white film ) . Do you suspect a secondary infection ? What should I treat with or should I just keep treating how I am currently ? THank you

what does the bottle have listed for active ingredients of the paraguard?

malachite green is the main ingredient in the formula. The ich seems to be gone now. But now the fish seems to have secondary infections ( eyes clouded over , extra coating of slime all over the body . ) still not eating which is my main concern. I'm getting ready to test the water with my testing kit. The fish is finally swimming and not hiding anymore but he looks really bad ! I though he wasn't going to make it last night but this morning he seems to be more active than he was yesterday. I have tetracycline on hand should I be using this to treat the secondary infection ?

i would use some carbon and get the malachite green out of the system first and see if that helps. It can be irritating to many fishes.
