Paratrygon aiereba are intriguing rays, but there is a great deal of consideration you should take before purchasing one.
The largest Paratrygon aiereba on record was approximately 47 inches in length.
Can you provide a large enough enclosure for one of these rays when fully grown? They are mainly piscivorous and can be difficult to wean off live fish. If you have one that will only accept live fish, what will you feed it?
I have owned a ceja in the past and attempting to wean him off live fish was a very stressful process for me (I am assuming for the ray as well). I purchased him for $200.
If you decide to purchase the ray, best of luck to you! Please keep us updated!
