Parauchenoglanis types

the 1st 2 are of Parauchenoglanis guttatus aka african flat head, african shovelnose,african widemouth, the 2nd 2 are of Parauchenoglanis macrostoma, aka african dwarf giraffe catfish, african spotted catfish.

Thanks for the pics man. I always thought that Parauchenoglanis guttatus was the Dwarf Giraffe Catfish.

How long do each of them grow to?

im, not sure , they say the guttus get 12 in and the dwarf get 8, and i also have heard that the both get 8inchs, so i don't know, listen how many do you want cause if it's the giraffe you want you can have two of mine.

If I do end up getting one, I'm just going to pick up one. I like the look of the guttatus better

And George lists the Dwarf Giraffe Cat as the Parauchenoglanis guttatus ! I don't know what to believe!

Yea, you're pics are going to help me out a lot! I'm getting a nice sized order from Toyin (Rehoboth) in a couple of weeks so I may just get the P. guttatus from him! Maybe he has a definite answer on how long Parauchenoglanis guttatus and macrostoma get.

hmm, www.davesfish.com also labels Parauchenoglanis guttatus as Marbled Dwarf Giraffe Catfish. I guess I'll see what Toyin says and if I take a trip to SA, I'll take the pics with me
