Paraya/Pike compatability

Has anyone ever kept these two together? Im talking about sabre tooth tetras, not sure if it is paraya or payara. I just know that my pikes dont seem to care for other long bodied fish. Took forever for my big sveni to accept my silver aro, now they follow each other around, but the pike still bashes it once in a while. I was curious cause I ran across some 6'' beauties for $20. Cool looking fish.

Nail it. For $20 a pop, thats a great deal. You seem to have enough tanks as well, so if it doesn't work, you can just move them. There might be some chasing, and some beating, but as long as they can't eat each other it might should work out. Its payara btw.... They do like a little more water movement, so keep that in mind. Not neccessary, but still appreciated.

I have two of similar size in a tank together now. The pike cichlid harrasses everyone else in the tank besides the payara.
