We (my wife and I)were just talking about things our parents told us to keep us from doing things or modify behavior. Also a couple of things I have told my kids. Would you happen to have any stories to tell?

I told my kids they couldn’t have my Milano cookies because they were grown up cookies. They had liquor in them. My son said one of his friends looked at him like he was crazy the other day when he offered them to him and he said that he had never tried them due to the alcohol content. My son is 20 now!! 
No storys from my parents, dads belt did all the talking lol
Yeah, my dad used his belt too. I can still feel the sting when I think about it. The butt whuppin’ wasn’t so bad. The occasional thigh shots hurt the worst! Ouch!!
I remember one time i ran out of the house before he could catch me. When i turned back to see if he was following, i see him sitting on the front steps smiling and waving the belt at me, he said "see you soon" and just sat there

I quote my dad. “If you run, it’s going to be a lot worse!” Of course I tried. Spoiler, it was! LOL
I’ve been telling my kids that my coffee m&ms are just as bad for them as drinking coffee... because of course I tell them coffee will keep them from growing. Haha
dad never used a belt, his fav expression was if you do not knock it off I am going bop you, if you do not get the yard done I am going to bop you, bop was a smack open handed across the ear and side of the face. Mom was a back handed disciplinarian. you sassed mom and the hand would fly. she never warned. thoe she did like the phrase if you do not knock it off I am going knock you to Cucamonga, for years I thought this was a fake place. nope its in California, she use to live there.

My parents always used the belt on the backside. Wouldn’t hit or slap us in the face or head. She had a thing about that. Some disrespect thing I think.
ya mom was raised old school German, dad was an old school Irish assh%^e. Both loved there beer.
