Paretroplus Menarambo and Geophagus Growouts

Hello fish lovers. Thought I’d share a video of my paretroplus menarambo and geophagus sveni and red head tapajos growouts. Will definitely be looking to do a breeding project with tha sveni and menarambo but am a few years out before they will be mature enough but will update videos every few months to share with you all.

My menerambo started spawning at @ 4", so only about a year old, but at that early age, the eggs weren't fertile .

P maculates started about 5", and were fertile (red), a little over two years old

Funny coincidence (although I usually don't mix continents) I found Geophagines to be good tank mates for Paretroplus.

Ya that’s what I read upon doing some research. Sounds like the menarambo will tolerate fish that don’t look like themselves. I’m planning on dedicating a large tank to the menarambo once they’re bigger.

Took mine about 3 years to make 14" and outgrow my 150 gal.
They are on the top of the (actually any Paretroplus) of favorite cichlids.
