These young beauties continue to captivate me more and more everyday
Since their arrival last November, my youngest Damba group of 6 have put on a nice amount of size. They're starting to show more deeply colored 'pinstripes' and red at the tips of their fins. As voracious eaters they greedily consume everything I've presented - except cucumbers! I dont know why, but the cucumber strip on an algae clip sent them scurrying into their favorite hiding spot until it was removed.
When I added a young group of Saratheradon Knauerae to their tank, I put in a bunch of Vals, najas, java moss a few random pieces of wendtii and a recovering Madagascar lace plant. The lace was decimated by their Maculatus cousins in another tank last year. Aside from an occasional nibble on the najas/guppy grass, they're leaving the plants alone for now.
