Finally have a somewhat successfull spawn. After many spoiled attempts I was able to harvest a beautiful spawn of one of my pairs of the stunning Madagascar Lamena. For some reason this species prefers to spawn on the walls of the aquarium vs. any remouvable platform. Perhaps they were wise to my game or some of the other species "talked" to them. Tank full of wigglers now so not out of the woods yet.
Anyone else out there having any success with this endangered species? Pond vs. Tank? size? methods of handling aggression?
This species trully gives a new meany to hell on wheels.

no not yet. my photographer live in the woods and hasn't ridden his dogsled into town yet

Congrats. That is truely a great accomplishment. You need to get some pictures of those guys in breeding dress posted for all to see.

Thanks for the info on oldworldexotics selling them. I'm ordering 8 along with a 8 maculatus next week to go along with the 2 I already have. I'm super pumped to try these fish out. They are going to be going in a 5' X 8' pond that is 2.5' deep. Hopefully they do not kill each other.
