My 180gal is now at the plumbing stage and should be ready in a week or two. I was thinking of house D. Compressiceps but was talked out of it probably for the better.

Now my new question is will i be able to keep 6-8 P. Menarambo in the tank with my Polypterus? Will the filtration be adequate with a sump of 45gal and a mag drive pump of 4500L?

Again, suggestions, comments or general opinions all welcome whether they are good or bad.

Thanks
Roach

pump is ok, but a bigger sump would be better.
and if your meanrambos are too small, they may be feeders.

The tank also has an over flow chamber built on the side of about 10-12 gals that will be filled with bio-balls and will be a wet/dry section. As the fish grow i will be adding 1 or 2 fluidized bed filters rated for 750L to the sump so i reckon that should do it. The menarambo we get here are usually 3-4" so the size is not a worrying factor for me.

What I am concerned about is the menarambo picking on the polys or hurting them. I want to keep the tank with african fish only and will be adding an african tiger fish (hydrocynus vitattus) as a grow out until it can go in my 310gal.
