I am in Paris for the next few days followed by some other parts of france but today while I was doing the touristy things I walked by a Reptile shop. it was very very small and only had a few animals there and they were all priced very high but one thing that caught my mind was that there were TONS of rare and unique plants. Anybody on this forum from Paris or been to this area? it was on the right bank near Notré Dame.

I was in Marseilles two years ago and also was amazed by the selection of high dollar animals and plants in these rather small shabby looking shops. State side in a place like this you might find some half dead anoles and red eared sliders. Everything looked to be in good to great health. I remember being very impressed with their turtle selection.

the animal selection was very poor though, just the plants. all they had was ball pythons and redtail boas and anoles and leopard tortoises. but they had all kinds of super cool plants that I have never seen before

hmm, Take a train south? I never visited a Parisian shop, but in Marseilles the two shops I went to must have had 30ish different turtle species between them. My French is terrible, so I couldn't really talk to the vendors. I just happened to run into them while I was wandering. I live in a decent sized city and there isn't a shop here with anything terribly neat.

That wasn't it but now, I am going to try and make it there!

oka, so I went to La ferme tropicale and they had a great selection including a "silkback" bearded dragon, phillipene sailfin dragons, and even some EASTERN indigo snakes. Despite the impressive collection the animals were in poor shape, many of the tortoises had severely pyramided shells and most of the snakes an lizards were without clean water.... I took a few pics of the rare stuff but only a few. I will get them uploaded when I am back stateside.

I got some pics of the weberi's but my camera died after a few minutes of being in there which is why I only have a few pics...
