Just wondering what the typical growth rate of these chaps are? I've bought one from the LFS that's under 10cm.

Thanks! :)

Paroon´s are sometimes called other names yes but thats just confusing... Pangasius Sanitwongsei is the one to use :)

i got one 10cm paroon 13months ago.
It´s one-eyed and pretty calm, doesnt show any aggression, doesnt even go for feeders.
It went from 10 to 20cm in 10weeks but then dramatically slowed down...
Its been around 1cm a month, but i think the average Paroon will grow faster.
Mine doesnt eat everyday, maybe 2-3 times a week, but i feed the fish 1-2 times a day, he just usually ignores the food but when he eats, he eats good.
He is in a 200G/720L tank for now.

mine r about 16 or 17 inch had them about 8 month. they were roughly 6" when i got them.
my last 2 were 24" at 18 month they were only 2" when i got them

The names are confusing, that's why I thought I'd better be sure :)

What do you say the typical size in captivity is? I understand they have a potential to reach 2.5m I believe, but would they ever get this size in captivity?

I've got two ID Sharks that eat like horses, is it a safe bet to feed the Paroon only a few times a week?
