Paroon Shark Problem

Hi lately my 20in paroon has turned really aggresive and it seems all he wants to eat is live food. I unfortunatly i cant go to the pet store every day to pick him up live food so his starting to eat his tank mates. Hes already eaten 2 8in iridescent sharks a 6 in pinktail tetra, and a 11in golden dorado. So i was wondering is there any other foods that i can mix in with the live that he would also like, thats a bit cheaper (the amount of live he eats will break my bank) and will really fill him up. Thanks

Ive already tried, massivore, and frozen talipia( the tilipia kind of worked but not real while, after i feed him that i turned the lights off and he took out the dorado so any help would be appreciated, thanks so much.

also how long do you think it will be before he grows out of his 300? he doesnt seem to be growing to fast lately but i was just wondering?

try frozen smelt from the grovery store. its the whole fish with the head cut off and the guts torn off. and try making it look real, maybe tying some fishing string aroudn it loosley so that when he take it it falls off

It could be demanding more protein due to egg development. You might try chicken hearts and/or beef heart from the grocery store.

I use smelt to feed my peacock bass.I toss the cuts into the tank from a few feet away from the tank and the bass snaps them as soon as they hit the water surface......I'm surprised that the paroon was able to take down an eleven inch dorado.They are usually very active and sometimes quite nasty on their own.

i was surprised too it seemed to quick but i woke up the next morning to a fat paroon and a dorado tail hanging out of its mouth ill pick up some smelt and beefheart and try that tonight, thanks so much

Hey you still interested in my 18" paroon? He cant eat this one he is pretty nasty fighting with my red tail every dam day. Im bout to put in a divider.
