last week my paroon shark started to get some white spots...and i thought it was ich. so i put in some medicine, added salt, and upped the heat.

but after a while it didnt really look like white spots anymore, but more like the skin is getting fuzzy/moldy, and seems as if it's slightly rubbing off. i added a bit of pimafix to the water in case it was some fungus...but still no change.

what could it be? it's still eating fine...

Does it resemble some of the pictures in my thread about my Armatus a few posts down? Look through some of the pictures there.

In that instance, I simply added salt and threw in one of those vitamin pyramids that dissolves over time.

how old is your set up, do any aggressive water change ( 50?% or more) maybe a case of nts. bio filter maybe poopin out on you

I had nursed a paroon that was loosing skin in the mouth area. Started to look like flesh eating disease. Raised temp and melafix did the trick

last month i decided to relocate my fish tank, so i took out all the water and cleaned out the filter. but left the gravel as is.

anyways, the problem magically healed within a day.
added salt and something-afix. the one that treats fungus. and some ich treatment as well.

i'm thinking it may have been a severe case of ich that nick660 mentioned. the eyes were fogging up and beginning to sink in the day before it healed.

thanks for the help everyone.
