Paroons were voted down from being added to the CITES and redlist this year. Currently, only P. gigas is on the lists.

I am a dummy, is P. Gigas a type of Paroon Shark.

Reason I am asking is because a friend of mine was exporting some paroon sharks to barbados from miami. FWC Inspected them and confiscated them saying they were endangered and now faces fines. He asked if I knew if they were Illegal. I told him I would aske the experts. So they are legal to sell.

I imported couple month back... have mine taken too.... :( these FWC dont know anything.... oh well....

There's a problem if the legal-eagles are using out-dated reference material. Until recently, P. gigas was thought to be it's smaller cousin P. sanitswongi (paroon).
