Maybe for a while, but you do know how big these guys get??I have also read from these forums that they can be quite nippy and aggressive.Well good luck with whatever yuo do.
my question would be how big are your id's and and how big are your tinfoils and your clownknife who I believe are mainly nocturnal. Basically the rule with these guys is donot overestimate what they will try to put in their mouth. Even if they donot successfully eat the fish they will end up killing it in the process. They are constant tank lappers. They really go into hunt mode at night. Check out Youtube.. these guys try to eat some fish 3/4 their size. Beautiful fish and fun to watch.. just be careful of your other fish.
Forget about the tinfoils and clownknife. They will consume the arowana. They'll swallow it with a painfully looking bulge in their stomach. Then, toss it back out as a carcass. Loss many of fishes to a very aggressive one no matter how much you feed. They are a eating machine like SW sharks
I would say dont get it. I rescued 1 13 months ago. SHe died recently. SHe hit 30" 6" across the face and weighed 5.5 lbs. SHe grew 16 inches the short time I had her. I had just found another home for her. These fish are truly monsters. I would not advise anyone to get one unless you have a monster tank already. My 200 gallon pond was 6x4. I figured I had a few years before she hit 30", I was wrong. Think twice. ID sharks can grow slower and not quite as big. My avitar shows my now 18 year old @ 28" he was under 2ft in that shot. Good luck.
