How fast do they grow? I know they can get up to 4 feet  . I've had mine now for a few months... and growth rate seems slow.... How long can I make it before it will get to the 2 foot mark? And if I am unable to upgrade by then would anyone be interested in it?

He looks good now... maybe 10 inches? I am looking at about 2 - 3 yrs before we move and have space to get a bigger tank. Do I have enough time? Does anyone have any other info for me besides a smack upside the head? (By the way I didnt want the shark in the first place but sometimes you gotta choose your battles - and he is in a 125 atm..)

i dont know how fast but do u power feed him. what do u feed him. usually if u power feed and switch up the food so they get diff kinds it will help them grow faster. its true i tested it out on 2 pbass. i power feed one with diff foos and feed one pbass the same thing once every day. the one is 4" and the other is 2" :)

He eats sinking carnivore pellets... and sometimes feeders but i never actually see him eat those... we usually feed once or twice a day.. oh and he ate one of my crayfish :swear: and just spit him out the next day... so no we arent powerfeeding him..

In the wild they do ... I dont believe they do in captivity. I bought it as an Imperial Shark.. What is the difference if any?

well you just said they grow up to 4 ft:p... you didnt specify in aquariums:ROFL:

i have no clue on the difference

lol sorry about that... I am still in shock as to what I purchased... Actually I did not my hubby did b/c he still cannot understand the size of our tanks and the rate of fish growth.. He keeps getting these fish that will be ok only once we move and can get the 400 gallon or so set up.. I cannot put any more tanks in my apartment its bad enough I have 4 right now!

Men.... they just dont listen.... :headshake

you know y he dont listen... 4 isnt enough.l... every man on here probably has 10 tanks...:D

Pangasius sanitwongsei (paroon shark) grows to 300cm in the wild. Even if you had one only grow to half its wild adult size, you're still looking at a FIVE FOOT 200LB active-swimming catfish.

 So what do I do?????? He wants to KEEP it!
