I doubt that your paroons are in "heat". How big are they? Paroons are hungry little machines and they can be bite happy at times.
both over a foot+ ...(thou your right they could just be hungry)

Hey j, i think those paroons go back and forth messing w/ each other... i don't know exactly how much damage they can do to each other, but nothing serious has ever actually happened. Don't really think it's a breeding/spawning ceromony or anything of that nature tho?? 
Try feeding something a little bit later tonight... you'll be amazed how they come to the surface and just start "smacking" the top of the water, doing 360's until they finally find the food!!

J -- dont know man.. i dont think they have been bred commercially. But enjoy your paroons
while you can !
what are they in??? Mine were very aggressive and very jumpy when in my 110 but now that they are in my large pond they are very calm and dont mess with anyone

fed them tonight and it was krazee! i was worried about my ray not eating enuf but she didnt put up with $h!t
