are these rare? how much do they usually cost?

They are very common around here, 3-4” fish goes for around $5 around here. They are very popular because of the simple fact that they have the word “shark” in their name but keep in mind that this fish gets over 3 feet long.

I really have not paid much attention to them lately, generally when I got to a fish store I tend to only stop by the tanks that catch my eye (usually planted tanks, Discus, larger Cichlids, and stuff like Dats) and ignore everything else. Last year when I was working in a fish store we had them in once in a while, we would generally order Iridescent Sharks over them since they were cheaper and people do not know the difference, but Paroons were almost always available on the weekly fish order lists.
