Parrot cichlid and Texas hybrid

I know how some people feel about the hybridisation of cichlids or any species for that matter.

I had a grow out tank and threw a couple of parrot cichlid fry in there after some time I saw less and less of them I assumed the worst and I bought a blue Texas fry and sure enough a pair formed.

Tell me what you guys think? I am aware that this cross may also be responsible for the red Texas cichlid. This is the female and she is amazing.

Looks good, definitely what would have been involved in the red Texas. I generally don’t mind hybrids, just some come out better than others. I’m sure she will be gorgeous once she fades. How big is she?

She is a good six inches extremely vicious I know Texas cichlids can be aggressive but she bust up my jaguar, Oscar, green terror
