Have a weird situation with one of my parrots, Boss. He was separated from the display tank due to bullying, stress spots and the development of a single white dot over his right gill "flap" on the edge. Periodically he would rub the right gill only. So I treated him for ich for 8 days with medication. It never appeared on his fins or body, no clamped fins and his appetite was good. Dot was gone for 5 days but now seems to be reappearing in the exact same spot, one dot. I am now treating him with Tetra Lifeguard. He looks healthy and digs around his tank. Have no idea if this is a secondary infection, scar, or bacteria...I gave him salt dip before the first ich treatment which may have irritated the right gill. It was red for a day then returned to normal. He has been near the filter lately with his nose touching the sponge. Since its a small quarantine tank I do small w/c daily and vaccum the substrate as often. But I'm at a loss here.
