Does anyone else have them if so how do you sex them an is it tru you can not breed them to any other cichlids. i have one white an orange whos been making a nest an gaurding it, an it lives with an 10inch oscar an a 5inch pike, an they all get along good. i know it cant breed with any but i heard people breeding to dovii an devils. is that tru?

Only way to tell the sex( that i have heard of) is whenthe female lays eggs. You can breed them to others I have heard of red devils breeding them and flowerhornsand of coarse convicts, but any new world cichlid may work. Right now I am yring to breed a parrot to a flowerhorn
yaz got my hopes up...then i saw it was about the 'evil' parrots...hehe...oh well. Too each his own.....I've still got my little babies and that makes me content!
My BPs laid eggs once. I got my hopes up hoping that in all odds they would actually be fertile...then the next day they were all gone and the male had eaten them...
there r some fertile males but they're a paint to find and they can crossbreed with almost any other large ciclid
