well, from the pictures I would say that you have a good chance of having a male or female parrot lol. Some would say that, since the dorsal and anal fins are more pointed, it's a male but that method is very unreliable. check this site http://www.geocities.com/parrotcichlid/breeding.html for some information. Hope that it's a female cuz most male parrots are sterile!

yeah i know i have a breeding pair already but this parrot is the only egg that has ever even hatched so this guys is special

if they ever breed again send some my way! in theory, venting should work but I haven't been able to find any information that affirms that.

will do they have eggs as we speak but i dont see many fertilized ones

there are like 2-3 hopefully they will hatch and grow healthily

how big is your parrot? i have 2 6-7 inch parrots and they are both female. if you vent them you can clearly see a egg tube. so i guess venting does work. i used to have a big 8 inch male that died. i will see if i have any old pictures of him to see if you can vent

I have blood parrots with angelfish and blue/gold gouramis, plecos,
cories, giant danio, gold barbs, tiger barbs, pictus cats, and rainbowfish.

Mine stopped laying eggs because they could never fight off the plecos or tiger barb mobb!

Blood parrots are the cutest things since fantail goldfish!
