ok, my blood parrots (purple female, red male) have layed eggs, and i was wondering, how long does the incubation take? also, how big do the parrots have to be to breed. i know that the eggs usually don't hatch, but sometimes they do, and i'm hopeful. oh ya, they layed the eggs 24 hours ago, and only 25% have turned white, so are the chances "good" of the eggs hatching?

25 percent dead on the first day, is bad even for infertile eggs. when my infertile parrot and rd get together, the eggs ae good for at least 2 days before they start to rot. it could be bad parents. if they don't hach, stay hopeful. this is probably there first time and they need a little worck on there methods. if the pair is infertile, then it is only the male that is bad. the good news is you can take the female, and hybridize her with a number of diferent cichlids;) Its a win win if u got a female parrot

I am no expert on Blood Parrots, but as far as I know the males are infertile, not the females. So two blood parrots will not breed, But a female blood parrot and something else will. I have seen a Flowerhorn/Blood Parrot hybrid. Again I am not expert on these guys, this is what I have heard.
