I dont know why they wanted to lay em in the open instead of inside that nice cave right behind em.

Your statement is incorrect. If the male is infertile theres a zero % chance of fertile eggs and if the male is fertile theres a 99% chance the eggs are fertile. The chances of having a fertile male BP is around 0.05%
 
No sign of fungus. They were tanned colored but they eggs were eaten while I was at work. I dont know if it was by the parents or the half dozen swordtails in with them. After I find a cheap stand, I will be moving them into their own tank. I have another spare 29g to put them into.
