hey guys soo i have two parrot fish that layed eggs today on my drift wood and i never had this happen in all the time i have had these fishes. I dont know what to expect or do so people help me out and share your thoughts.

If their white then they're infertile, if their brown then they're fertile...............

most likely will not be fertilized. the majority of male blood parrots are sterile. they will still aggressively guard them so keep an eye out for aggression towards any other fish in the tank.

but may be "may be" it can be fertilized some said their bp do fertilize but it's so rare ..
they need un-hybrid fish to fertilize the egg
good luck

:iagree:

oh ya sry congrats on the babies!!!

it doesnt mean much for they could both be female or the male could be infertile but like the guys above said cross your fingers!!
