You mean King Kong parrots? I think the two are pretty much the same...no head notch, longer body and can get up to a foot. Most regular parrots top out at 10" but I've seen a couple of outliers at a foot.
Parrots are not true species, they do not come from nature.
They are man made mutants, and the difference is only due to the mutations or traits the breeder select for.
