Parrot type?

Hey guys, I bought a BP the other day, he's about 1.5 inches, with juvenile colours, I.e. mottled grey, orange patches etc.

Interestingly the shop told me he's got trimac in him, he does seem to have some sort of flowerhorn line on him.

I'm clueless on parrots, but is this fairly standard or are there mixed crosses? Pic below (sorry for the quality)

He'll turn nice orange like the rest...takes sometime to mature Looks like a regular BP to me...but looks like it does have some blue spotting which is nice

I was curious about his fins, his pectorals are clear, and his tail fin has the spots as you mentioned; do you think they will all change to orange?

I basically bought him out of curiosity lol

BP's when in the juvenile stages of life are widely known for having the "flowerline", and being off color, but once they start to mature you'll see the "flowerline" start to dissipate, and the bright orange'ish red coloration start to take over.

Thanks for the replies, I'm also eager to see how his general head shape develops. I really like the parrots that get pale and don't have as pronounced a head cleft

No.. it's not a normal BP. I have 2... 10 months old... and still looks like a FH.

Its a normal BP, fish can take years to fade.
