There are varied differing versions of what this fish is. HrpxCon? ConsxBP? Short bodied HRP? Short bodied convict?
Fertile or sterile?
Appreciate it if someone at MFK can please shed some light. TQ

They are sold as Polar Blue Parrots and are most likely Shortbody Honduran Red Points since most of them have lots of blue and red/yellow tails.

They are fertile except the platinum form is hit or miss

Thanks. That answers a lot of questions on the polar blues. A knowledgeable friend did say something similar. This double confirms it.
Much better than all those googling I've been doing, which doesn't explain the looks and the fertility. TQVM ?

Exactly - just convicts/hrp bred for the short body gene.

Most sexually mature females will have eggs, no a requirement to get a male unless you are wanting to breed her. They're just like convicts, easy to breed.
