Parrots in Tanganyika... Tacky?

I'll have to admit... after thinking about it for a minute i realized that it would be a very interesting tank, one could keep large parrots and/or flowerhorns with smaller quicker african cichlids and the two societies might be able to coexist relatively independent of each other in a large enough tank.

But when i saw this video for the first time, i had such a visceral gut reaction to it... my whole body shouted no! you cant do that! its aquarium heresy!

I would be interested to see if anyone out there agrees with me, or if this just makes me an aquarium snob.
 
Well, I managed to pull off a breeding pair of Mayan cichlids in a 120 African community tank... Mostly Malawi, and the larger male Mayan is probably about 2 or 3 times the length of the largest African in there

Kinda like seeing tanks with large predatory cichlids and overgrown feeders, but to each his own, at the end of the day it's YOUR tank and who's to say what should or shouldn't be kept in it.
