I have two parrot fish in my 15 gallon wth a front and a bumblebee cat all around 2-3inches.. they all get along fine but I was wondering my parrot has been weird the past few days its picking up rocks and moving them, making holes everywhere... why is this?

:iagree: Sounds like the "nesting" behaviour... They dig holes, pits, depressions, move things around, clean their chosen place and... EGGS. Oh, they became much more agressive and territorial when "breed".

Best regards.

Daniel.

maybe its telling you your aquascaping sucks!!! according to my jag mine is TERRIBLE! :D:D

My Dempsey is a male and he does the same thing........ And I mean he is a male, no doubt about it, not even questionable...... I had a firemouth that use to do the same thing too.

My jag is a male too.....he is never happy with his home.

LOL hmmm... I guess if my aquascaping sucks then he/she likes the hole look. =) haha. I am not sure if they are both females or both males or one is female and one is male.

Both males and females will dig, regardless if they actually are going to spawn or not.
