Three years ago i purchased an 80 gallon "hard cast" pond that was in the perfect shape for my design.

I had the pond running for two years until a leak came about somehow. The pond has a four inch gash in a crease on the bottom.

Ive tried silicone, no luck. I have this paste that seals tears in pools. You guys think this stuff will hold?

You have to know what type of material you are dealing with. If you are dealing with those preformed pond like what HomeDepot sells, it is not easy to patch that kind of material. They do have a high temperature hot glue that may work for that kind of material. It does require a special hot glue gun that cost hundreds of dollars. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a new pond or builder one with liner. Good Luck.

Ill have to do some more research obviousy...

While were talking i was curious to see if it would be safe to house goldfish in a old school tin or metal washing bin converted into a pond? Im not sure of the material but it appears to be either metal or tin and has a few rusting flakes.
