When it comes to fish keeping... I have ZERO patience.... I often go for a fish that will be an amazing adult, or groups of fish that will pair up..... I never let them grow or pair up.... I get tired/bored with the stock re-home them and move on to something new...

anyone else like this?? anyone have this problem...

I know some can just add a new tank, but I dont have that luxury.... I do have 3 small tank going that I can move fish into for a short time, but that doesnt help much.....

so if you really only have one tank... how often do you change fish? tell me I am not alone, changing fish every 2-6 months!!

I have a Texas Cichlid I've had for 10 years, I hope to get another 10 out of her. I wish the same for all my fish :)

Sweet! That's the way to do it. That Texas must love you.
My only revolving stock happens in my fry tanks.

i change in my smaller tanks all the time, But my bigger tanks house lifers

The only time ive gotten "bored" of fish is every time i try to do a peaceful or livebearer tank. i guees im a cichlaholic at heart. ill add one then two then bam ill turn it into a mini monster tank. i cant stand fish that do anything. fish that u cant watch grow or breed or might breed or fish that are fun to raise to see what they look like (flowerhorns). i would say if u could only have one tank and u just started in this hobby i totally agree and support trading fish over and over. different strokes for different folks. you didnt like planted community tank fine maybe ur a cichlid keeper maybe not u never really know unless you try it. the rest of us do have the availability to pop up a new tank every time we wanna try something. most dont. personally yesterday i decided hey i would like to do a goldfish tank. i have the space so im setting one up :)

I used to do what you're describing lol. I get bored of my fish constantly. I think I do this because I'm still trying to search for the right fish for me. I've kept everything, Flowerhorns, Blood Parrots, Oscars, GT's, JD's, Festae, Firemouths and a many more types of cichlids. I've also kept the typical friendly community tanks consisting of barbs, tetras and etc. The longest have been my hybrids but I've gotten out of that lol. I think I've finally found what I like. Of course, the whole process of getting rid of my old fish and getting new fish has left a bit of a dent in my wallet lol.

yeah i get bored when fish like cichlids don't get along... so i try community fish and now i want to do bichir again :)

i started doing this after my jag died. Havent found what im looking for yet. My grammodes cichlids and beanis have my patience for now tho
