I have been very vocal about people buying and selling fish over the course of a few months and my personal patience has finally paid off.

I bought 5 Dovi from Ken Davis 20 months ago I ended up with 3 males and 2 females. I separated out the 2 smaller males and kept both females with my largest male. The male is now 17 or 18 inches long and the females are both around 12 inches. The male and the 2 females are in a custom Marineland tank I had built for them, it is 7 feet long 30 inches wide and 24 nches tall.

After maybe 15 unsuccessful spawns, my dovi finally have wigglers. The only fish that ever took me longer to raise and breed were my frontosas I had years back, they took about 3 years to grow out and spawn.

If the babies get past wiggler stage I will get some photos and post them.

If you are serious about a fish when you buy them, and you have patience, the reward is far greater than the "musical fish chairs" game some people play. Just my persoana opinion, you do not need to buy a new fish every week, or even every month. Provide for what you have, watch them mature and enjoy their procreation.

In short, my dovi finally successfuly spawned, very nice present 2 days after my birthday.:D
