Here's what my Protopterus dolloi looked like when I got him back in September of this year.

Here's what that same lungfish looks like now.

Is it possible to bring out the pattern that my lungfish had when I got it or was that just it's juvenile pattern?

I could be wrong but I would assume in most cases , lungfish loose 80% of their patterns as they age , the small excpetion being on an individual case , ie., a really spectacular specimen that keeps their spotted or marbled pattern . I've seen some nice subadult albino dolloi .
