*Paveing Sand * please respond ASAP

I don't see why not, so long as you give it a good clean before putting it in.. I use soft building sand in two of my tanks with no problems whatsoever.. I think paving sand is very similar to this. Maybe closer to play sand.. I say go for it!

ive used it before, its very stoggy when wet and hold air and algy, id go for a very thin layer so cleaning is easier, post a pic when its in...
 
isn't paving sand also called sharp sand? that's not going to work for all fish. as long as the fish don't dig or sift you'd be ok, but I'd stay away from it if you've got bottom dwellers.
 
Afaik sharp sand is different. Sharp sand is used for cement laying and has quite laarge stones etc in it. Paving sand is extremely fine as it is brushed down between paving slabs to stop them moving.

If it were me id just make sure it was nice and clean and get it in there! Even if it does have some larger pieces the cats etc will either ignore them or just spit them out..
