Yes they're def some nice tats... Don't worry about life span they'll live long as long as u care for them.

Just curious tho Where'd u pick them up at?

Like Creni said! It's a tat. Adipose and tail are the same color.

Life span is similar to Armatus. Can get up to 3
Or more years if properly taken care of.

The gold sheen is a giveway as most armatus are more grey or silver.Nice looking pima btw.

I didnt pick them up. They are at Bruce's Pond Shop (20708 Gudith Rd., 48183). $90 each, decided to pass on them due to price and fear of my VATF & pbass punking them out.

Yeah passed on them, 3 yrs seems too short for me. I prefer lifespan fish at least 5 yrs

Isn't their lifespan much longer it's just no one has managed to keep them longer than 5?

Someone must have kept them atleast 5 or more years. Some one has kept an Armatus for 5 years so it should be able to be done for tats.

We're talking tats and all, and the only thing I see is the amazing Arapaima. :o

I currently have around an 11 inch vatf with 3...tats around 9 inches in my 270 havent had any problems at all.....the tats chase amongst themselves.

Imo tats live longer then armies in captivity

It might work in you case depending on the size type and temperment of your pbass

Tats would probably be easier to keep longer than an armatus because the smaller max size.
