So the guy I got this payara from said it was an armatus but my
Friend is saying it might be a TAT. Can you guys please tell me which one it is and how do you ID it? It's my first payara it's around 6"

Adipose vs caudal says armatus, but that jaw structure and the big black eyes looks like its characteristic of what the sticky says as tat

Hmm like zap said its back end looks army but its front looks tat odd! Cool fish, growth rate should be a clue

I say arm as well. As with the feeding, just give it time. It'll start eating again once its full adjusted to the new tank

what have you tried feeding it? i would definitely try to fatten it up asap.

Deff any army and feeder fish will prob be the only way to get him eating

My friend that I traded with said it was pellet trained already so I've been throwing in hikari floating and massivore. Then I starting throwing in shrimp since he started looking hungry and swimming around a bit. But a shrimp went past his nose and he didn't hit it? But my BATF and dithers were smashing everything I threw in.
