payara info

im new to the payara game.. any insight yall can give me on what to expect, besides how awesome they look? ive only had him for a day now, still seems pretty shy.. will he come around? how long will it take?

Id say give it about 1 week. Let him get comfy in his new home. He doesnt do much during the day, but in the night he comes out and plays. One of the best SOB in the charicin family in my opinion!!!! I had a scomb and he was alright, but from what I hear (if im not mistaken thats an Armatus) your guy is off the wall (the correct way to go if getting a Payara). Congrads on the pick up. You should enjoy him very much!

No his is a tat. Red-tails are cool, but my red-tail is nothing compared to the armatus. Armatus have the attitude of many CA cichlids!

one more question.. my guy seems to kinda bounce when he stationary.. instead just sitting there moving his fins to stay stationary.. he kinda bounces up and down. normal?
