i currently have a pair of red tailed payara altho in my opi nion they look like armatus with redish black tails and they have been fine with each other but my largest eats like a pig and eats like five to six massivore pellets every time i feed him and my other one is always competeing with my barracuda, other payara, silver dollars and jurapari cichlid for massivore pellets and the ocassinal silverside and he is smaller than my other one so i was wondering if there was a way i could try to get the smaller one to catch up to the other one who is pushing seven and a half to eight inches and becuase of this difference will there be problems in the future, altho they have never seriously harmed each other?

There will always be a more dominant fish in the tank or group/school. From what I remember, they both appear to be Tats. As for getting the other to eat/grow more, you might want to take out the aggressor and give him a seperate tank and slow down the feedings. Otherwise, nothing you can do but feed your fish. Its like asking a kid to stop growing so fast Lol.
