I'll be working on updating the payara sticky over the next few days. If you guys have anything you'd like to add or have updated in 2.0, let me know. I'm keeping most of the info and adding a bit more, I'm mainly just bringing the format to heel to match the other two stickies.

Also, submit pics for the galleries if you wish. Submission does not guarantee use.

Few old pics, he's about 2-3" larger now lol

1.Tank Size: 240
2.Temp: 76-80
3.PH: 7
4.Tank mates: absolutely none!
5.Other notable Tank conditions: 3 Eheim 2229 wet dries 1 used for Mechanics/2 used Bio/ 2 RIO 2500 power heads in 1 corner but he hangs in calm spot 99% of his time. Takes big circles around tank when he is hungry. I have towels and overhanging vines to hide tank.
6.Initial Specimen Size: 15+"
7.Size Specimen Died at: Still Going Strong and a little over 2 years old/ I had him for 9 months. At least 20"+ Now.

After many hours of research this is whats working for me. Best information was from Fred who has his 2 footer+ for many years in a 600!

Lower water temps means more O2 in water.
Must have calm spot in tank... My Armatus only swims against current when I walk up to tank and hes hungry..Just like in the wild he goes to eat in the waterfalls and back to calm area to rest from what I heard.
Only gets fed 2 times a week now whole Mackeral, Hikari stuffed Tilapia, whole sardines. All injected with vita-chem and stuffed with krill/earthworms.
I feel the main causes of death are death runs so I have towels on my tank and no lights absolutely no tank mates. He is very bold and lets me clean out his RIO Power Head sponges every week along with netting uneaten food right in front of him. He will swim up to my hand while I am cleaning. I fed him a few times with the net in the tank and my hand so he would not have any bad memories of a net. (Yes i was once a crazy puncture wound in my thumb while I was hand feeding) Water Changes twice a week 20-25% with Prime, Stability, Discuss Buffer, amazon rain.

I have a 720 next to his 240 all cycled and ready for him 8x3x4. It has a center overflow tower. I feel this tank is big and next to my door and hard to control so I have not transferred him yet. I don't like the tower also in his way so I am scared he will do a death run. So I am looking for a 10x3.5x3.5 for him in my garage away from everybody. I have had a few close calls mostly while cleaning the tank so my plan using nets while feeding seems to work well. Plus when its time for the big transfer its gonna be so easy to net my boy up.

This is my buddy's video that would be cool to use in the update!

I updated the thread (finally) and used a few members' pics. I still need a good, home-grown MFK picture of a Cynodon and a Rhaphiodon!
