Hi,

I just noticed that my Payaras lower canine seems to be out of place when it's mouth is shut. It's canine rests just beside the mouth when shut. Do Payaras shed their teeth? Can this be a loose tooth? Thanks for any help.

dude...post the link man..

Much like a sharks teeth. A payara has a reserved ready to pop out like a switch blade once the original breaks or falls of.

I have this fishing video where the gut pulls out a reserve tooth like a switchblade...awsome stuff..

I mean to say "guy"... not gut...LOL

I don't have a link but TRUST (Jed) maybe you can get a screen cap of the video. It's on one of the "Hunt for big Fish" episode. When he was fishing for Giant Payara =-)

Well I noticed late last night that the tooth is gone and the new one is in place. So all is well. Thanks again for the replies.
