Payara Teeth Question

Hi,

I just noticed that my Payaras lower canine seems to be out of place when it's mouth is shut. It's canine rests just beside the mouth when shut. Do Payaras shed their teeth? Can this be a loose tooth? Thanks for any help.

Much like a sharks teeth. A payara has a reserved ready to pop out like a switch blade once the original breaks or falls of.

I have this fishing video where the gut pulls out a reserve tooth like a switchblade...awsome stuff..
