Current Tank:
5" Payara

thinking of getting VATF and 3 pbass and possibly a jar later on.

Question:
Payara is not aggressive, so my thinking is that as long as the prospective mates are same size, this should be ok right?

the vatf may be the aggressive one. how safe are these fish from each other?

Thanks. I've searched stickies and other threads already but obviously will not find the answers to this combo. please help.

Sounds like a cool list. The only problem may be the Vatf or if you get a hold of faster growing bass that turns.Or a Jardini that has an attitude. There's always a chance for disaster with any of the cichlids and/or odd balls we all love.

I would advise against adding a jardini to that mix due to aggression, as for the rest, it all depends on tank size and other factors you didn't state

I think if you have a big enough tank you should be ok. But, you will really need to keep an eye on the jardini. Some may be real mean, but some may be peacuful.

look at my sig i havnt had a problem with african pike yet

Advice: Don't get Saratoga Jardini, get Saratoga Leichardti, A LOT less aggressive, only a little more aggressive than Silvers. White with red spots, much more beautiful than Jardini's and they grow slightly larger.
