I had a grow out thread of my armatus named Ollie, and I sold him to be sure he got enough space just in case I couldn't upgrade in time. I replaced him with a tat who died soon after I got him, and am thinking about trying again. I have since rehomed the Brycon who has been messing with tankmates. He used to wimpy until I sold my distichodus and he became a bully. However, what worries me is long term if the PH difference between my tank and South American waters might be too much for long term anyways? Considering my ph is high around 8
