Just bought a payara about 6 inches in length. The LFS said to feed him feeders, but I really dont want to with my peacock bass in with him. Any ideas on what to feed him/her? Thank you

Ive had mine for a couple months now and have starved him at least 3 weeks of that time and he will not even look at anything but feeders. It is possible to get them on shrimp, crawfish, smelt and prepared foods but i personally havent had any luck .My advice is to wean it off live slowly and dont rush it. good luck
