Is it the scombs or armatus that die right away in captivity?

Scombs, its not instant though. They seem to die off around 12" I think.

Neither. Like K said, the scombs tend to die at about a foot long though. With how slow they grow, that means you could have the fish for up to 2-3 years.

Would love to see some better pictures. I see 1 cyno gib, one dark scomb, and about 4 light lookin scombs. Im wondering why the one scomb is darker then the other ones
