PB developing hole on its body

Greetings

Im enquiring my cousin PB.
He bought an 6-7" unknown PB and on its left side have a hole not that big.

Unsure about how the PB got it.

So what is it and how do he going to treat the PB?

Could be hith/ lateral line erosion. Either look that up or post a pic.

I presume PB is Peacock Bass?

Holes on the side sounds like bacterial lesion more that hole in the head, but a picture is needed.

I have seen alot of Pbass with this...... Most likely caused by neglect from previous owner.... Very hard to heal but not impossible
