So I recently purchased a PB and noticed that there is a red spot (almost like a new pimple lol) where its side fin is connected to its body. Sorry don know what each fin is called lol.

Anyways, I was wondering if this would be an issue or if its caused from my other fish maybe getting to him since hes new in the tank? Ill try to take him out for a picture.

Hard to say exactly what it is. All the fins look a little damaged, which may indicate a mild bacterial infection.
Maybe add some salt to the tank, that might help.
We have a product here called Melafix which is a natural antibiotic made from Malaleuca oil.
It's great for treating minor fin damage and skin irritations.

I'd treat with some salt, and a methylene blue dip bath. Should cover a wide host of possibilities.

zero offense intended here but melafix is useless. Its mildly ok for helping with fin damage but beyond that it won't treat much.

I just adding the salt last night. I think he's getting beat up by one of my smaller red terrors lol punks! Lol but we shall see what happens. He swims fine and eats live food like no other lol
