Greetings from Mexico, there aren´t many PB´s here so it´s kind of hard to know the species so if you can help me , they are kind of small , but growing fast and eating alot (guupy feeders and frozen shrimp) , they are in a 190 gal, i´m going to keep them there for about a year and then move them to my 450g.

Thanks

Mono or Ocell....kinda hard to see though. I could be wrong...ask fishrmann2...he's one of the pros!!!!

I'm guessing Mono, but it could also be an Oscell.

Now that i look at it more im gona say mono the pattern on the head isent osc looking.

Milk - I know your trying to help, but don't.... Stress patterns don't have any thing to do with telling young cichla apart.

saganeer - if you can get a better side shot, it would ba a little better. Still cichla that small are very hard to tell apart. Head shape and also dorsal fins are ways to tell.... If you can get a side shot with the dorsal fin up, we should be able to help a little more! :)

:grinyes: milk, most, if not all, cichla get a "mask" when threatened/stressed.

i see my pbass have this so called "mask" sometimes.

Im leaning towards mono.

Could very well be an ocellaris though.
