PB in a 29

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nope! they get like 2 feet long. Why not make a thread asking for suggestions instead of playing guessing games. Or how bout doing reasearch on your own?

Well you can but only for about 3 months if you get them at 2-3".. Really no sense in buying pbass if you only have a 29g..

Here's two of them in a 29 filled with about 20 gallons of water. It's a good quarantine tank for temporatily holding newly wild caught PB.:)

Some people might hang me for this but I wouldnt see why you couldnt keep a juvenile pbass or two in a 29 gallon until they reached about 8-9 inches... Its not the best possible situation, but it could be done, but you would have to upgrade from there.. Most important thing is you would have to keep a CLOSE eye on water quality. You would eventually have to go to something like a 180 24" wide or a 240. My tank I have waiting on my guys is 8 foot long and 4 foot wide, but you wouldnt have to have a tank that big for two pbass...

I think there's nothing in your post that some people can hang you for. I've kept 10 of them in a 15 up to 4-5 inches. But as you say water quality is the key even if it's just temporary.

It's much easier cleaning them up of any potential parasites or diseases in small setups before being promoted to your target tank.
