Pbass aggression...

My Pbass is around 3-4 inches,he has already killed 3 larger Bala sharks and 2 larger Irredesant sharks,he was relentless with them and killed them quickly.So i put a Jack Dempsey in there(about 2 inches)and the JD chased and harrassed the crap out of the Pbass so i took the JD out.I then got a 2 inch Temporalis cichlid(chocolate) who also chases the Pbass once in awhile,but not to bad,my question is what type of fish is safe to keep with Pbass??:eek: :WHOA:

well.. my big guy's best buddy is a nearly foot long silver arowana.. and his other best buddy is a 5" angelfish. He doesn't pal around with the snooks, but he doesn't bother them either. I think it's just a personality thing.. but if he really needs tank buddies, i think other peacock bass (the same size or bigger) would do the trick.:D
 
YOUR BASS KILLS FISH?? thats odd..usually they just eat them..I keep mine with tin-fo barbs, african tiger pike, and allot of others

i'm with Sabotage, it seems strange for a peacock bass to go out of it's way to kill the other fish in his tank. But like i said, all animals have their own personalities, and one of the reasons i liked the peacock bass was because they have personalities. there are LOTS of fish that not only look like they haven't a brain in their heads, they really don't.:duh:
 
I have had pbass kill other pbass... in fact eat their whole tail.. or tear it off.. all I know is it was a tank full of bass and one was dead at the bottom with no tail within hours of seeing it alive...

Anyways get larger community fish that won't eat the bass if you can't get bass the same size.
 
i have never seen pbass rape another fish like that, Ive seen them punk them and do the "BATTLE RAM" till they kill it...ur bass must be on roids!!
